This is where we live and where we do most of our daily trainings and events.
Either in Athens or on Kalymnos island, the surrouding coastlines are our home waters all year round.
From there we extend our activities using Greece's extensive marine and road networks through out the country.
Athens is blessed with an extensive coastline and many near by islands and islets.
A true sea kayakers paradise with the entire length of the coastline, starting south of Piraeus port to and around cape Sounio is open and suitable for sea kayaking 90% of the time.
Most importantly, the nearby island of Kea, our shortest sea kayak expedition is just 1 hour away. We have so far circumnavigated Kea 18 times and is therefore included in our home waters.
Our Athens base is conveniently located in Glyfada area, 3 km away from the closest sea front and less than an hour away from the ports of Rafina, Lavrio and Piraeus.
You will find us in Athens from November to June each year.
Kalymnos base is situated in a farm located on top of the main town, surrounded by it's most treasured monuments and is an integral part of the Aegean Paddlers.
We transfer and launch our kayaks at any part of the island or load them on a ferry and transfer them anywhere in the surrounding archipelago.
The merits of sea kayaking around Kalymnos and the surrounding islands can't be expressed enough here. A page dedicated to Kalymnos and the Dodecanese is coming up shortly.
You will find us here from July to October each year.
