Aegean Paddlers sea kayaking Kea

Kea is the closest to Athens Cycladic island and therefore the one we visit most often.

The island is extremely reach in history, culture, nature. There's plenty of information on the internet about Kea, we here will focus on the sea kayaking aspect without leaving out some highlights of more generic nature.

We were the first to sea kayak around Kea and have sea kayaked around the island over 20 times.

With a perimeter of 32 nautical miles It is our perfect sea kayaking weekend trip.

The island is exposed from all sides and sea conditions often are beyond any reasonable limits. 

Weather forecasts are very accurate on a 3 day notice, that along with the one hour ferry ride that connects Lavrio and Kea daily makes planning sea kayaking trips to Kea very straightforward meaning  one knows exactly what to expect and is either up for it or not. 

Training and good judgement is all it takes to paddle around Kea safely.
